Our approach lies on Paulo Freire’s philosophy of critical conscientisation as discussed in his seminal work, The Pedagogy Of The Oppressed. This approach is anchored in the belief that the oppressed are capable of thinking for themselves. All they need is a safe space to engage in a reflective dialogue.

Aligning with the South African based, Training for Transformation in Practice, our method rests on the work with the head, the heart and the hand. It signifies the synchronisation of thinking, feeling and acting. Together with our partners of community-based organisations and the wider Civil Society Organisations, we hold the learning space to catalyst changes at all levels.
